Recruitment and Outreach Specialist

The North Carolina Child Treatment Program (NC CTP) is a collaborative initiative within CCFH. NC CTP has been in operation since 2006, serving as a statewide platform for the implementation and support of child trauma mental health EBTs. In 2013, the North Carolina General Assembly awarded NC CTP an annually-recurring appropriation, administered by the NC Division of Child and Family Well-Being (NC DCFW), to support an array of child trauma mental health EBTs across North Carolina. Currently, NC CTP disseminates seven EBTs across North Carolina.

Work Performed:
 Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract licensed and licensed-eligible mental health clinicians for evidence-based treatment training
 Conduct a recruitment needs assessment of our current NC CTP recruitment and outreach strategies; Assess current outreach and reach of NC CTP training and dissemination.
 Outline competitors and adapt messaging to outline CTP’s unique selling points (value proposition and showcase high-achieving clinicians.
 Identify successful recruitment strategies based on best practices
 Identify potential tools, resources, and technology systems to enhance program recruitment efforts
 Conduct outreach to mental health agencies; mental health and counseling practices; licensing boards and members; conferences and meetings; universities, community organizations, and online platforms to promote NC CTP; Identify and use a variety of contacts for recruiting trainees. Resources include:
 Develop and distribute marketing materials to raise awareness of NC CTP
 Develop and promote a social media approach to recruiting, marketing, and outreach for NC CTP
 Develop a pipeline of viable candidates
 Develop contracts with agencies and organizations that expand the capacity of NC CTP
 Target certain regions and populations: rural areas; marginalized populations; diverse professional groups; HBCU initiatives
 Prepare weekly reports for the NC CTP Director on progress and opportunities
 Work with the NC CTP Director; Training Director and NC CTP team to schedule, enroll participants, and initiate training contracts
 Utilize the Center’s social media to align with CCFH branding recommendations and increase brand awareness.
 Identify underrepresented and unrepresented counties where there are limited or no trained clinicians are the highest priority.
 Target rural counties and Eastern and Western counties, Southeast, and North NC.
 Implement face-to-face outreach efforts in specific areas or at events with underrepresented populations is the most effective strategy.
 Market to agencies that have not typically sought training with NC CTP.
Leadership and Collaboration:
As part of NC CTP Senior Management:
 Provide leadership and guidance in recruiting for NC CTP and support to NC CTP staff on outreach and contracting.
 Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
 Collaborate to align recruitment and outreach management efforts with NC CTP and CCFH organizational objectives.
 Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability.

Education/Training:
Professional Degree Required (AA, BA, Masters)

Experience and Skills:
 Sales and/or recruiter experience required (3-5 years)
 Familiarity with NC communities and mental health care systems
 Strong working knowledge of human service systems for youth, young adults, and families and an ability to bring together and collaborate with diverse community partners
 Presentation skills include talking with small and large groups about NC CTP
 Strong writing skills, social media skills, and public relations experience
 The ability to problem-solve barriers while being sensitive to maintaining professional relationships
 Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven effective organizational and time management skills
 Foster diversity, equity, and inclusion through words, actions, and attitude
 Must be available to work at various, unanticipated sites throughout North Carolina
 Ensures NC CTP values and mission are included in all recruiting endeavors
 Travel required (50%+) travel and work in counties throughout NC
 Valid NC Driver’s License
Some evening and weekend hours.

Salary and Benefits: 

Salary range is commensurate with experience, beginning at $72,000. In addition, CCFH offers very competitive benefits and a hybrid work schedule. The benefits include an employer contribution to retirement (5% of salary-no employee contribution required); a significant coverage of the premium for the employee on health benefit(s) (85%) and a generous vacation/sick/holiday schedule. The work week includes 2 days a week in office and 3 days remote.
