DRNC has an immediate opening for a full-time staff attorney on the Education Team. The Education Team
advocates to significantly improve outcomes for students with disabilities in schools. In doing so, the
Education Team works to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline in North Carolina, including for students
of color with disabilities. The Education Team strives to advocate at the nexus of disability justice and racial
justice.

Camber Foundation is seeking a Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, a critical role as this developing foundation experiences significant growth and establishes its place in North Carolina’s philanthropic landscape. i-team Civic Designer, Charlotte, NC

The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University (the Center) seeks an i-team Civic Designer, Charlotte, NC to support a new Charlotte Innovation Team.

The Supervising Attorney for the Criminal Legal Team will lead DRNC’s efforts to ensure people with disabilities (intellectual, developmental, physical, sensory, mental health, substance use, and/or brain injury disabilities) in NC’s prisons and jails receive humane treatment.

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle envisions a hunger free community. We feed our neighbors, teach self-sufficiency, grow healthy food, and cultivate innovative approaches to end hunger. As a member of Feeding America, the Food Shuttle distributes over 9 million pounds of food per year, 37% of which is fresh produce.

The Organization
The Arts & Science Council (ASC) is the Local Arts Agency for Charlotte-Mecklenburg. Its core functions include advocacy, cultural education programs, fundraising, grant making, public art management and workshops and training for the cultural community. ASC works to ensure Culture For All by combining resources from local and state government with those of the private sector to maximize community impact throughout the cultural sector.

CONTEXT

The core function of this position is to oversee all development-related activities with the goal of raising $4-6 million in revenue each year while strategically expanding and deepening relationships with Student U investors and prospects. The Development Director will be responsible for developing the strategy and overseeing the daily operations of the development team, which includes a Development Associate, Advancement Writing Associate, and consultants as applicable. The Development Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will partner closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, the Director of Marketing and Storytelling, and the Chief Program Officer. This position will also serve on the organization’s Leadership Team. The Development Director will coordinate and often lead meetings with investors and prospects, and will be a representative for the organization both internally and externally.
