North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) is seeking a highly organized and professional Executive Assistant to the President and Office Manager. This position is on site at the NCICU office in Raleigh and is a key role with NCICU. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to manage and coordinate a variety of priorities specifically for the president and for NCICU overall are required.
Key responsibilities include reviewing requests and correspondence, providing background information and drafting responses, managing the President’s travel and calendar and meetings at NCICU, and serving as the Office Manager of the historic NCICU office building. Managing sensitive information with confidentiality, timeliness, and discretion is critical.
A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in a related field is required. Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite are essential and applicants must have at least five years of previous experience supporting an executive, preferably in higher education, a nonprofit, or a government setting. Must be able to work with a broad range of college and university personnel as well as government officials from across the state and country. Limited travel required.
