The Food Security Program Manager plays a critical role on a small professional team that supports area residents experiencing housing and other financial crises.

The Food Security Program Manager is responsible for conducting the daily operation of the Dorcas Food Pantry, promoting and cultivating food pantry donors; interacting with relevant donors and community agencies; scheduling, training, communicating, and interacting with volunteers; facilitating a safe and healthy working environment for clients, volunteers and staff. Serve as a member of the Community Services management team, offering support and coverage.

Must have management experience, strong computer skills and be proficient in using the internet, email, and document creation software programs. Must possess excellent written and oral skills, a valid driver's license with a good driving record, and must adhere to confidentiality policy. Must have the ability to manage time well and work under stressful conditions with an even temperament. Have the ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with staff, volunteers, donors and the public. The ideal candidate will possess a high school degree but preferably a college degree in a related field.

Physical demands include standing, lifting, and occasional work in varied environments.
