    To empower, connect, and support the lifespan of individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community through outreach, advocacy, and education in North Carolina.

    VISION
    North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance is an effective, compassionate, and comprehensive resource on Down syndrome throughout North Carolina. NCDSA envisions a culture in which all people with Down syndrome are empowered to achieve their full potential and live healthy, productive lives as valued citizens within the fabric of society.

  • We advocate for those individuals incarcerated in our prisons. We speak out for those without a voice by raising public awareness to the issues that adversely impact people incarcerated, their families and public safety. We identify serious problems people incarcerated face and bring them to the forefront of our policymakers for effective reform. We advocate for restorative rehabilitation to prevent the cycle of crime and recidivism.

  • Education and advocacy for medically fragile children.

  • Our mission is to advance survivorship and provide support to those affected by lung cancer through research, education and access programs.

  • To provide emotional, informational, and technical support to parents of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, deaf parents with hearing children, and professionals serving those families.

  • To enhance the quality of life for those living with cancer and to provide the gift of life through education.

  • To promote lung cancer education, early detection and compassion for families touched by lung cancer.

  • To provide education, outreach, prevention, advocacy, and support services to all persons affected by brain injury, as well as the general public.

  • Improving the quality of life of persons affected by bleeding disorders through advocacy, education, promotion of research, and supportive programs and services.

  • To provide education & support for individuals, families & caregivers and to promote research, advocacy & public awareness
