P - Human Services

  • To serve, through cooperative community action, our neighbors in Rowan County who are in crisis, by providing essential life needs and educating and empowering them to break the cycle of crisis.

  • To provide immediate relief from financial crisis by assisting with rent, utilities, food, clothing, and prescription medications. Also, to provide case management to help individuals reach self sufficiency.

  • Easing financial burdens when tragedy strikes.

  • To deliver professional consumer education, debt reduction programs, comprehensive housing counseling and information on the wise use of credit to all segments of the community, to improve their financial well-being.

  • To provide outpatient christian couseling to children, adults, and families regardless of the individual's ability to pay.

  • To provide emergency services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

  • To improve the lives and education of ALL children with a special emphasis on children with disabilities by providing information, education, outreach, and support to and for families with children across the state of North Carolina.

  • To support services for children from 0-5 years of age and their families to ensure they are healthy and ready for success when they enter school.

  • A state chartered 501c(3) nonprofit corporation established in 1986 by eleven local churches. Today the Coalition is supported by 64 area churches, the United Way of Moore County, individuals, businesses, and civic groups throughout the community. The Coalition's mission is to alleviate hunger and financial strains of struggling households in Moore County.

  • To model the highest quality learning environment that stimulates families and the community to provide optimal growth and development of children.
