Program Associate - Data

The focus of this role is to support all Golden LEAF Foundation and Golden LEAF Scholarship data needs. This role reports to the Director of Grant Administration and works closely with the Scholarship Program Manager. The average hours per week spent with Scholarships and Programs will vary each week but overall approximately half of the role will be spent on each function.

Primary Functions

  • Supporting management of all Golden LEAF grant award data, primarily housed in our Fluxx database system, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the information for outreach, reporting, and programmatic initiatives. Activities include, but not limited to:
    • Collaborate with the Director of Grant Administration on key projects to support data reliability
    • Regularly review and assess outcomes and other data maintained in the system to proactively address gaps, errors, and opportunities for improvement 
  • Supporting management of all Golden LEAF Scholar data across various platforms, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the information for outreach, reporting, and programmatic initiatives. Activities include, but not limited to:
    • Regularly update records for Golden LEAF Scholars housed on various platforms (primarily RENXT (Raiser’s Edge) but also includes Airtable and a texting platform) based on information gathered from a range of sources.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three years experience relevant to the Primary Functions of the Program Associate – Data position listed above including review and analysis of data
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of common software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn to use other database systems (RENXT, Fluxx, Airtable)

Preferred Qualifications

  • A four-year degree in a related field or other relevant educational experience
  • Experience with data analysis and record management, including developing and analyzing reports
  • Demonstrated experience using Raiser’s Edge (RENXT), Fluxx, Airtable, or other, similar, data systems

Location and Work Schedule
This position will be based at the Golden LEAF offices at 301 N. Winstead Avenue in Rocky Mount, NC. Golden LEAF staff are required to work from the office Mondays and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely the remainder of the week.

This is a part-time position anticipated to work an average of 20 hours per week. This part-time position may establish their own regular work schedule within Golden LEAF’s core business hours of 8:30am and 5pm, subject to approval by their supervisor. This position will be expected to participate in regular staff meetings and other meetings, which may be scheduled outside of the regular work schedule.

  • Operates in a professional office environment and performs primarily sedentary work.

  • Repetitive use of fingers and hands for typings and other tasks.
  • Frequent listening, speaking, and use of visual acuity.
  • Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to use all senses to safely drive a vehicle, and ability to drive a vehicle.

Timeline
Applications will be reviewed and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis and the position will be filled once the successful candidate is identified. Applicants may be asked to complete a short writing assignment or other tasks to demonstrate their ability to meet the qualifications of the position. 

Golden LEAF will conduct a criminal background check and may conduct additional background checks and drug tests of applicants as a condition of employment.

Salary and Benefits

The Program Associate – Data position is a part-time position with compensation and benefits commensurate with responsibilities and experience. This position has an anticipated hiring range of $27 – $35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, and is anticipated to work an average of 20 hours per week.
