F - Mental Health & Crisis Intervention

  • First Haven provides psychological self-help information to those who have experienced sexual abuse. We produce and distribute our flagship guide, Tending the Wound Sexual Abuse: An Introduction, to agencies, institutions, and organizations directly serving those most in need.

  • To provide mental health care to low-income families who can not afford health care, to ensure their family members ages 12-25, and veterans of all ages receive the needed help that they deserve. We will provide mental health counseling through pro-bono counselors, medication assistance, and transportation to and from appointments if needed. We will also continue to raise awareness for suicide prevention, by providing seminars, webinars, and presentations to local schools, churches, and other organizations that could benefit from these services.

  • Addiction Professionals of North Carolina is a membership organization that promotes the professional development for professionals in our state that work in the field of substance use disorder, prevention, treatment and recovery. We do this by providing professional networking opportunities, offering free and reduced prices on regional training workshops, conference displays and registrations. We also provide newsletters to our members that allow professionals to stay updated on current policies as well as provide various other benefits to our individual and organizational members.

  • To improve the health and well being of individuals, families, and communities by reducing the toll of substance abuse through education, research, and community partnerships.

  • NAMI Wake County provides support, education, and advocacy to individuals, families, and caregivers, living with mental health challenges, to lead better lives.

  • To advance the understanding of mental life and promote the health of individuals and the community through psychoanalytic education, practice, and service.

  • Mental Health America of Central Carolinas provides help, offers hope and promotes mental wellness for individuals in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties through education, advocacy and prevention services.

  • To reduce sexual violence and its effects through confidential counseling, advocacy, education, and community awareness for adults and children.

  • To provide a statewide forum in which people work together to end sexual violence.

  • To assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
