  • This practical workshop addresses the critical challenge faced by nonprofit organizations: maintaining passionate commitment to their mission while preventing staff burnout. Participants will explore the "passion-burnout cycle" common in mission-driven organizations and learn concrete strategies to create a culture that sustains both impactful work and team well-being. The session provides actionable frameworks for implementing sustainable practices at organizational, team, and individual levels.

  • Change is a constant, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Whether you’re currently facing change or fear change, having a plan makes all the difference. This session will explore change management theories, help you identify critical focus areas, and guide you in creating a Change Management Toolbox to plan for, manage, evaluate, and communicate change with confidence.

    Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with peers, share experiences and bright spots, and gain tips for handling change when time is limited or uncertainty is high.

  • We will cover high level change management theories, tips for uncertainty, and put that into practical application creating a Change Management Toolbox for you to feel confident in how you plan for, manage, evaluate, and communicate change.

    The North Carolina Center for Nonprofits has announced that Ivan Canada will be its new President and CEO beginning in February 2024. Canada will be the third leader of the Center since its founding in 1990.

  • Ivan Canada, who has led North Carolina for Community and Justice for almost 10 years, is leaving the Greensboro organization to become president and CEO of the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits.
