Chef Instructor

Become a member of the Kids at Work team where at-risk youth learn to communicate well with others in a kitchen environment!

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and experience working with teens. Must be available to work in the after-school and evening hours. Most staff work from 12 pm to 8 pm. Valid North Carolina driver's license, clean background check, and negative drug screen also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach culinary skills to youth and parents
  • Lead psychoeducational groups
  • Conduct intakes
  • Support youth with current life problems
  • Complete daily documentation on student progress
  • Communicate with referral sources and court counselors as applicable
  • Provide transportation for youth and families to and from the program as needed (via company vehicle or mileage reimbursement)
  • Complete monthly reports for court
  • Support the Interpersonal Coach during their portion of the class
  • Attend staff meetings and clinical supervision sessions

Pay: 40,000-48,760
