Enlace Latino NC, North Carolina's first statewide nonprofit newsroom serving Hispanic and Latino communities, seeks a Director of Development to spearhead fundraising efforts and expand the newsroom at this pivotal growth stage. Since 2018, our newsroom has delivered vital Spanish-language news and resources, empowering individuals and strengthening communities.
With support from major funders like the American Journalism Project and MacArthur Foundation, we aim to diversify and grow our donor base, build systems for long-term success, and amplify our impact story. The ideal candidate is passionate about local news, North Carolina, and advocating for underrepresented communities. They have 5+ years of institutional fundraising and major gift experience, superior communication skills, and a proven track record of compelling donor-facing materials.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, managing a portfolio of foundation/grant prospects, organizing the major gifts program, overseeing the membership program and special events, and co-developing impact tracking efforts. The role requires excellent relationship management, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a startup environment.

The Director of Development is a full-time position with a salary of $75,000-$85,000. Enlace Latino NC provides a benefits package that includes: A medical insurance stipend; a technology stipend to cover internet and telephone use; and paid time off (20 vacation days, in addition to the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve off).
