About the Role
The Alamance Partnership for Children (Partnership) seeks a dynamic, visionary Executive Director to lead our mission-driven organization, which is focused on ensuring young children in Alamance County grow, learn, and thrive. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and foster strong community partnerships to advance the Partnership’s impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all operations, programs, staff, and finances in alignment with the Partnership’s mission and goals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funders, and state agencies, including the North Carolina Partnership for Children (Smart Start).
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, compliance, and diversified funding streams.
- Serve as the public representative of the Partnership, promoting early childhood initiatives and engaging in community outreach.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader regarding early childhood issues.
- Support Board development and governance, facilitating strategic planning and execution.
- Develop and execute a fund-raising strategy in collaboration with the board.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive organizational culture.

Qualifications
The North Carolina Partnership for Children Board of Directors has adopted Executive Director (ED) qualifications. All EDs must meet the stated requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related business fields, public administration, public policy, education, or human Services is required; a master’s degree in the areas above is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience, including two years supervising staff with responsibility for performance reviews.
- Experience with financial oversight, fundraising, and nonprofit governance.
- Familiarity with early childhood systems preferred.

- Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000, commensurate with experience.
