MOVE Program Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW

The MOVE Program Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing operation of the MOVE (Mothers Overcoming Violence through Education & Empowerment) and MOVE in Spanish programs. This role focuses on facilitator support, participant intake, group coordination, group facilitation, curriculum development, and program logistics. The MOVE Program Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth program delivery, data tracking, and evaluation while working closely with the MOVE Program Manager to maintain the program’s effectiveness.

This is a full-time, exempt, 32-hour-per-week position under the direction and supervision of the SAFEchild Program Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Program Coordination, Facilitation & Support

· Coordinate and manage the MOVE program & parenting education programs.

· Facilitate MOVE parenting groups (3-5 groups-per-fiscal-year) not including makeups and coverage sessions.

· Schedule & lead make-up sessions for participants as needed.

· Ensure timely and clear communication with staff regarding scheduling and cohort planning.

· Ensure program fidelity and prepare all logistics, including meals, materials, and room setup.

· Maintain program inventory and order supplies as needed.

· Develop and manage group schedules and communicate changes to relevant staff.

· Collaborate with other program coordinators to ensure service integration across SAFEchild programs.

 Facilitator & Volunteer Support

· Recruit, train, and support contracted and staff facilitators.

· Provide coaching, supervision, and guidance on curriculum delivery and logistics.

· Coordinate volunteer support in collaboration with the Volunteer & Prevention Program Coordinator.

· Serve as the primary contact for volunteers after onboarding for MOVE groups and related programming.

 Participant Intake, Support & Engagement

· Conduct trauma-informed intakes and manage registration processes.

· Foster strong relationships with participants and provide appropriate referrals for additional needs.

· Coordinate with the Crianza con Carino & MOVE Program Assistant for intake follow-up, documentation and support as needed for Spanish speaking participants.

· Assist with children’s intake and enrollment in collaboration with the Volunteer & Prevention Program Coordinator.

· Identify barriers to participation and provide support or accommodations to enhance engagement.

Strategic Growth & Outreach

· Partner with SAFEchild’s Intake & Outreach Coordinator and other staff to expand MOVE community reach and network.

· Strengthen MOVE’s reach through collaboration with internal stakeholders and community partners such as Interact, NCCADV, Legal Aid, Family Justice Center, and others.

· Participate in the Domestic Violence Task Force and other community coalitions.

· Deliver presentations on MOVE, child abuse prevention, and SAFEchild’s mission.

· Seek opportunities to innovate service delivery and expand program capacity.

 Data Management & Program Evaluation

· Track attendance, outcomes, and participant demographics using Salesforce and other tools.

· Develop and administer evaluation tools to measure program impact.

· Support preparation of program reports for internal review and external funders.

· Participate in agency data workgroups to align data with program and organizational goals.

 Financial & Administrative Support

· Track and manage MOVE program budget, ensuring compliance with grant and budget requirements.

· Follow granting institutions requirements for program reporting as needed.

· Support SAFEchild fundraising efforts and organizational-wide initiatives as needed.

 Professional Development & Organization Engagement

· Maintain relevant certifications and participate in professional development opportunities.

· Stay informed of best practices in parenting education, trauma-informed care, and family engagement.

· Attend internal meetings and contribute to SAFEchild events and organizational goals.

· Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the MOVE program and SAFEchild’s mission.

 Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required in social work, public health, psychology, human services, or a related field.

· 3 + years of experience in program coordination, group facilitation, or family support services, preferably in a nonprofit or human service setting.

· Experience conducting intakes and facilitating parenting education or support groups with a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage participants, facilitators, community partners, and other stakeholders.

· Experience supervising volunteers and group facilitators.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experience using Salesforce or similar data and client management systems.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate logistics, track data, and meet program deadlines.

· Experience in community engagement, partnership building, public speaking and leading presentations.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

· Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings for group facilitation as needed.
