Child Forensic Interviewer

Safe Spot CAC seeks to bring justice and healing to victims of child sexual abuse and physical abuse through a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Safe Spot serves as an investigative partner, providing direct services to children who are victims of crime. Safe Spot Child Advocacy Center is seeking a full-time Forensic Interviewer to help conduct forensic interviews and coordinate effective case management. Forensic Interviewer will provide developmentally and culturally appropriate and legally defensible forensic interviews of children and adolescents in cases of alleged sexual and physical abuse and other cases of concern referred to the Safe Spot CAC. Forensic Interview duties may include coordinating, recording, and documenting interviews of children and adolescents; preparing written reports, providing court testimony, and facilitating multidisciplinary team pre/post interview staffings and other case review meetings. Initial and ongoing training is required and will be provided by the agency. It is preferred for applicants to have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or University with major coursework in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or a related field.  Applicants must be able to maintain the confidentiality of clients served and team members at all times.
