Location and Time Commitment:

Primary responsiblity is at the John 3:16 Center’s main office in Littleton; at times will assist in Roanoke Rapids. Full-time, Exempt Position. Daily work schedule will be primarily weekdays, 9am-5pm during the summer and 10am-6pm during the school year. Hours will change based on the John 3:16 Center’s opening hours, scheduled assignments, and needs at the time. Some community events on Saturdays required.

Objective:

The Center Coordinator will report to the Operations Director and will assist the entire management staff with the daily operations of the John 3:16 Center. This position is responsible for directly supervising and supporting the Program Assistant & Volunteers while helping to ensure efficient and effective operations of programs, services, & activities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsibilities and duties will evolve based on the Center operations and the needed preparations for upcoming programs. Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Collaboratively work with the Program Assistant to maintain effective communications with clients/parents to inform them about our programs, requirements, and upcoming activities.
  • Ensure that clients complete proper documentation and that the documentation is maintained according to Center policies.
  • Create reports and documents and assist in maintaining records and data.
  • Manage the Center’s inventory, to include ordering and stocking supplies
  • Collaboratively work with Program Assistant to maintain the Center in a clean and orderly state
  • Answer the phone and front door in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Assist with account bookkeeping activities.
  • Help to accept, organize, store, and give out donated items.
  • Lead Bible-based devotions as needed during programs.
  • Support the planning, coordinating, and implementing of daily activities.
  • Assist in recording and acknowledging donations, event planning details, and in managing communications through social media, etc.
  • Other duties as required

Communication Requirements:

  • Communicate in a polite and respectful way with all employees, volunteers, donors, and clients
  • Inform the Operations Director in a timely manner if there is a need to be absent for a doctor’s appointment, sickness, or planned vacation.

Qualification Requirements:

Basic knowledge of office management including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated ability through prior job and educational experience to perform the requisite duties and responsibilities. Individuals must pass a background check and a drug test.

Education Required:

Associate’s degree (or higher preferred) in human services, business management, or related field.

Training during Performance Required:

Darkness to Light—Preventing Child Sexual Abuse training and CPR/First Aid training will be required during job performance. Both are offered through The John 3:16 Center. Other Professional Development will also be provided.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move heavy donated items, desks, and other office furnishings (up to 40 pounds).
