Imprints Cares is an educational and health equity mission driven organization serving Forsyth County from its headquarters in Winston-Salem. We serve children and their families from prenatal stages into middle school, with our innovative work often starting with a pediatric clinic visit and continuing with in-home visits from a family educator for the first few years of a child’s life. We are seeking a finance and administrative leader to join us as our Chief Financial Officer. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for leading and managing the accounting, finance, budgeting, treasury, grant administration, human resources, IT, safety and facility management functions. As a member of the Leadership team, you serve as the senior leadership member overseeing the fiscal and cultural health of the organization. Manage the staff and contractors, including the Assistant Director of Finance, HR lead and Operations lead.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FINANCIAL:

Responsible for the monthly preparation of financial statements on a timely and accurate basis in accordance with GAAP

Prepare the financials for the strategic plan (as needed), the annual operating and capital budgets, grant budgets and quarterly forecasts of the financial statements to assist management in achieving the mission,

Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis to support decision-making

Maintain, and update as needed, the appropriate policies and procedures, including internal controls.

Ensure compliance with rules and regulations administered by grantors and prepare corresponding compliance reports as needed.

Perform treasury management, including cash flow forecasts

Manage risk management through insurance policies and practices.

Serve as administrator for the retirement plan.

Develop and maintain relationships with financial partners, including banks.

Oversee vendor contracts and relationships.

Coordinate annual audits and proper filing of tax returns, working closely with audit firm.

Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.


HUMAN RESOURCES:

Collaborate with the leadership team and the Internal Committee to maintain the Employee Handbook

Manage benefits administration

Serve as the liaison with third party benefit and insurance brokers

Manage payroll processing and administration

Provide strategic HR leadership to the organization including fostering the desired culture


OPERATIONS:

Manage the technology and IT resources and procedures

Serve as the safety officer, including communications regarding inclement weather and emergency responses

Oversee facility management for all locations


GENERAL:

Participate as a member of the Leadership team

Serve on the Internal Committee as a staff liaison

Commitment to professional development

Advocate for the mission of Imprints Cares and represent the organization in the community

Adheres to Imprints Cares policy and procedures


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; master’s degree preferred
7 to 10 years’ experience in accounting, finance and human resources
5 years' experience in management
Advanced knowledge of nonprofit accounting, specifically including grants and fund accounting
Exceptional skills in Quickbooks Enterprise and Online version
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel knowledge
Outstanding project management skills
Experience with third party payroll processers
Collaborator able to drive results through cross functional teams
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to the details and able to think strategically
Demonstrates high emotional intelligence
Experience with grants and fund accounting required

Onsite work at our main office
