Clinical Director

Haven House Services is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Clinical Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for our behavioral health programs serving youth, young adults, and families across Wake County. This senior leadership position oversees our Outpatient Therapy Program, Juvenile Assessment Team (JAT), and Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) programs, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based clinical services while maintaining compliance with state, Medicaid, and licensing requirements.

The Clinical Director will provide clinical leadership, supervise and develop staff, strengthen community partnerships, oversee quality improvement initiatives, support program growth, and collaborate closely with executive leadership to advance the agency's mission. For more than 50 years, we have provided a continuum of services for young people facing challenges such as homelessness, family conflict, mental health concerns, involvement with the juvenile justice system, and housing instability.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Haven House Services' Outpatient Therapy, Juvenile Assessment Team (JAT), and Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) programs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical staff while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Ensure high-quality clinical services through oversight of documentation, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to advance the agency's strategic goals and strengthen behavioral health services.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, referral sources, Medicaid partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee program budgets, grant compliance, and billing processes in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping guide the future direction of Haven House Services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Active unrestricted North Carolina clinical licensure (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or LPA); LCSW preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory and program management experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience providing behavioral or mental health services.
  • Strong knowledge of North Carolina Medicaid, behavioral health systems, and evidence-based clinical practices.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
