Cumberland County Coordinating Council on Older Adults (ccccooa.org) exists as a nonprofit organization promoting the quality of life and independent living for older adults living in Cumberland County by providing home- and community-based supportive services, helping them remain at home as long as possible.

Services provided; Meals on Wheels, Home Improvement safety modifications, In-Home Aide, SHIIP and Information and Options counseling, Dementia support groups and classes, senior companion and telephone reassurance programs.

Responsibilities: Responsible to the Board of Directors for management of the organization including fundraising/development, human resources, programs, finance and communications. Represents the organization to government agencies, the public and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree or higher, with 5 years of experience in a human services field, NGO and/or nonprofit agency. Working knowledge of current issues affecting the elderly. Effective verbal, written and digital technology skills. Strong interpersonal and team-work skills, the ability to work independently and to prioritize work. An enthusiastic and positive outlook. Must possess a valid NC Driver's license.

 

Salary and Benefits

Paid individual BCBS health insurance 80/20 after 90 days. Match up to 3% for SIMPLE IRA,  Annual leave time is 80 hours for the first 3 years. 80 hours of sick leave annually. 13 paid holidays.
