Executive Director, NC Pediatric Society

This new hire will be the third full-time Executive Director of the NC Pediatric Society. This position will get to work with pediatricians and other child health professionals and as well as other partners across a wide swath of issues.  Key activities include organizational management, membership support and community building, policy analysis and advocacy, ambassadorship, and communication. Anticipated activities are described in the full job posting; the new hire will be encouraged to think creatively, promote innovation, respond to member needs, and analyze data to develop their own workplan with approval and support of the Board. Working with the Board and committees, the Executive Director guides and supports staff while advancing strategic priorities, assuring organization excellence and overseeing policy work, including Medicaid and payment policy.

Salary and Benefits
 • New staff members will accrue PTO at a rate of 18 days per year. This rate will increase as tenure with NCPeds increases.
• NCPeds observes 10 paid holidays in addition to accrued PTO. NCPeds is also closed between December 24th and January 1st. Full-time staff are paid during this time and are not required to use PTO.
• All full-time staff are eligible for health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield. NCPeds pays 75% of employee premiums.
• NCPeds provides a retirement plan and matches up to 3% of employee contributions
• NCPeds provides short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance at no cost to the employee
