Leadership Senior Manager

Purpose:

To collaborate with other leadership positions impacting Special Olympics athletes to implement leadership initiatives and provide support for athlete leaders across the state. This will include assisting with the Global Messenger program and providing key support for the Athlete Leadership Council. This position will play an integral role in the development of athlete leadership in Special Olympics North Carolina.

Duties:

Work alongside the Athlete Leadership Manager role filled by an athlete leader to implement all programs.

Assist with the scheduling of athlete leaders in various capacities.

Serve as a mentor for the Athlete Leadership Council.

Work with athlete leaders to develop and implement various trainings.

Oversee the Athlete Ambassador program and further develop systems for tracking and recognition.

Create strategies with the development department to fully incorporate athlete leaders into fundraising efforts.

Collaborate with the communications department on the training and utilization of athlete public speakers through the Global Messenger program.

Develop the Athlete Leadership University initiative.

Maintain data associated with athlete leadership involvement.
