Lastly, we advocate for increased funding for research into the causes and treatment of mental illness. 

ABOUT THIS ROLE

NAMI NC is hiring a part-time Program Coordinator who will assist with the coordination of NAMI Signature Programs leader certification trainings. This role will report to the Director of Programs & Initiatives. The position is primarily remote with the expectation to be in the NAMI NC office in Raleigh 1-2 times per month.

What You Will Do

  • Work with NAMI NC staff and local affiliates to identify, recruit, and/or screen new volunteer program leaders. 
  • Prepare materials for program leader certification trainings.
  • Assist training participants through the training portal for pre-requisite online training modules. 
  • Provide technical assistance during live Zoom training sessions for State Trainers and trainees. 
  • Ensure training is performed in accordance with policies and procedures established by NAMI National and NAMI NC. 
  • Collect and enter program-related data for reporting, funding requests, and evaluation. 

Additional Duties

  • Participate in staff meetings and NAMI NC events.
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of Programs & Initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations and communities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, and virtual meeting platforms
  • Availability to work some weekend and evening hours
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Minimum of a high school diploma/ GED or higher
  • Relevant work or volunteer experience

Salary Range: $25-$27/hour

Hours: 20-25 hours/week
