To provide support for Union County public schools through funding of technology advancement, classroom enhancement and innovative education programs.
To strengthen and expand the services of Project Enlightenment, an early childhood program that promotes school success for Wake County's young children by educating children, teachers and parents through fundraising efforts.
To bring students and farmworkers together to learn about each other?s lives, share resources and skills, improve conditions for farmworkers, and build diverse coalitions working for social change.
To perpetuate the values of Ruth Z. and A.M. Fleishman.
To work toward a superior North Carolina school system by becoming a source of information about schools and teaching, bridging the business and educational communities, and framing and building consensus around recommendations that strengthen the schools.
To support services that provide opportunities for every child to grow into his or her potential as a person by ensuring that all children arrive at school prepared to learn.
