To sponsor amd emcourage cultural education and activities in Clayton and surrounding areas, with particular emphasis upon local history and art; and to preserve other buildings, sites and properties of historical or architectural importance within Clayton and to promote thereby knowledge of and appreciation for the history of the Town and Johnston County.
