MedServe is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of medically underserved communities across North Carolina by recruiting, preparing, and empowering future primary care physicians. Through our AmeriCorps Fellowship Program, we recruit talented recent college graduates and place them in primary care clinics across the state, where they serve alongside healthcare teams for 2 years, expanding access to care and gaining meaningful clinical experience.
As the AmeriCorps grantee, MedServe provides the vision, leadership, and operational support for the Fellowship Program, recruiting, training, and supporting each cohort while partnering with clinics to strengthen the primary care workforce. Our goal is not only to improve access to healthcare today, but also to inspire the next generation of physicians to become lifelong champions of health equity.
