About the Role
The Corporate Fundraiser plays a critical role in expanding Purple Heart Homes’ fundraising capacity by securing corporate gifts, sponsorships, and mission-aligned business partnerships. This role blends fundraising strategy with relationship-building to grow PHH’s corporate donor portfolio, drive annual revenue goals, and increase engagement with companies nationwide.
As a key member of the Philanthropy Team, the Corporate Fundraiser proactively identifies, cultivates, and stewards corporate prospects, helping build the pipeline that sustains PHH’s growth and impact. This role collaborates closely with Marketing, Programs, and the Senior Director of Corporate Relations to ensure exceptional stewardship and visible partner impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate prospects and partners.
- Confidently lead solicitation conversations to secure financial commitments, sponsorships, and in-kind support.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of corporate fundraising opportunities aligned with PHH’s mission and CSR priorities.
- Develop and deliver tailored sponsorship and partnership proposals that inspire investment.
- Maintain a consistent outreach cadence with prospects and partners, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement.
- Coordinate with Marketing to ensure partners receive appropriate recognition across digital, print, and event channels.
- Support events and campaigns that engage corporate audiences (e.g., Veterans Day, Giving Tuesday, End-of-Year Giving).
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records, tracking outreach, activity, and partnership pipeline.
- Collaborate across departments to align partnerships with program goals and organizational priorities.
What Success Looks Like
- Quarterly growth in new corporate partnerships and sponsorships revenue.
- Consistent Salesforce documentation and reporting of outreach and results.
- Positive partner feedback reflecting strong stewardship and mission alignment.
- Annual corporate revenue targets achieved through diversified partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field required.
- 2–4 years of experience in fundraising, corporate relations, business development, or sales.
- Demonstrated success building and managing a pipeline of corporate prospects and partners.
- Knowledge of CSR and corporate philanthropy trends preferred.
- Proficiency with Salesforce (or similar CRM) preferred; consistent and accurate use is essential.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Sound judgment, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Passion for serving Veterans and alignment with PHH’s mission and values.
