Program Director

The Program Director (PD) will provide leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of The Hub, including facilities coordination, supervision of staff and volunteers, and ensuring the delivery of effective, high-quality programs. The PD works in collaboration with the Board of Directors to create and implement relevant programs to support Swannanoa residents before, during, and after disasters or climate-related disruptions. The Program Director provides leadership in advancing The Hub’s strategic goals and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing community engagement in support of the mission of providing a safe space for community building and collaboration, fostering community resilience. This role is central to keeping staff, volunteers, programs, and processes aligned with the
organization’s mission.

To support the people of Swannanoa in an effective, efficient, and equitable recovery by providing a shared space for coordination, collaboration, and community building.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations to ensure smooth delivery of programs and services.
• Supervise, mentor, and support staff and volunteers to foster teamwork and professional growth.
• Coordinate SRH scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation across programs and services.
• Develop and implement programming and operational policies and procedures that promote
efficiency and consistency.
• Oversee facilities coordination, supplies, and vendor relationships.
• Utilize non-profit and financial best practices to ensure compliance with safety,
organizational, legal, and non-profit regulations.
• Track performance metrics and report outcomes to leadership.
• Collaborate with staff and board leadership to improve processes, strengthen impact, and
develop both short- and long-term strategic plans for the organization and its programs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in program leadership, operations management, or nonprofit
management, preferably in a community or service-oriented setting.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of resilience hubs, or the ability to learn about them
quickly.
• Strong staff management and team-building skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
• Familiarity with HR management, financial management practices, and
operational compliance for non-profits.
