Director of Philanthropy
A Father's Place, an organization focused on fatherhood programs in the Pee Dee and Low Country areas of South Carolina invites nominations and applications for its director of philanthropy. This is an in-person leadership role with an option for hybrid work.
The organization provides free-of-charge community-based programs and support groups for fathers; helps fathers connect to services; and offers job coaching and employment connections that benefit fathers, their families, and employers in the communities.
The salary range is $80,000 to $85,000.
Reporting to the CEO, the director of philanthropy will focus on these areas:
• Collaborative fundraising leadership
Work closely with the CEO, board of directors, and a small development committee to support and coordinate fundraising activities that are realistic, relationship-driven, and aligned with the organization’s mission.
• Relationship-based fundraising
Help grow and care for a loyal donor community—including individuals, foundations, local businesses, faith-based partners, and community supporters—with a focus on connections in the Charleston, SC area.
• Fundraising planning and follow-through
Support the development and implementation of an annual fundraising plan, help track donor engagement and gifts, and contribute to steady progress toward achievable fundraising goals.
Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred with an emphasis or concentration in business, marketing, public relations or a related field, with two to five years of development and fundraising experience.
• Experience and contacts in Charleston/Lowcountry region are a plus.
