Carolina Sexual Wellness Center is a sex-positive, affirming non-profit organization. We have three main pillars: providing quality, accessible sex-therapy for a variety of sex- and gender-related issues; providing a wide variety of educational programming to the general community; and training therapists about sex therapy, specifically from a sex-positive, affirming point of view.
We are unabashedly sex-positive, meaning we honor and support the unique sexual selves of each person we work with.
We are committed to challenging destructive ideas about sex and gender that lead to pain, unhappiness, conflict, fear/anxiety, low self-esteem, and sexual dysfunction.
We unequivocally support the rights of Trans folks, including the right to bodily autonomy and social and medical transition.
We work to foster understanding of how systemic oppression impacts individuals and society and include that awareness in everything we do.
