Position Summary
The North Carolina Academy of Physician Associates (NCAPA) seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support the daily operations of a small, mission-driven professional membership association.
This position plays a central role in ensuring smooth office operations while providing administrative support for finances, conferences and continuing education programs, board governance, and organizational initiatives. The Administrative Coordinator also serves as the first point of contact for members, partners, and visitors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple responsibilities, and supporting programs that advance healthcare professionals across North Carolina.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of experience providing administrative or program support to multiple projects or staff members.
- Experience working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks preferred.
- Experience with database, event management, or fundraising platforms (e.g., YourMembership, Cvent, Qgiv, Freestone, or similar systems) is helpful.
- Experience in a nonprofit, membership association, or professional organization preferred.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
