Grant Writer (Part-Time, Temporary)

Senior Services is seeking a part-time, temporary Grant Writer to support our Development team in securing funding that helps older adults in our community live with dignity and independence. 

This role is ideal for someone who can step in, get organized quickly, and confidently manage the full grant lifecycle—from research to submission to reporting. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with our mission 
  • Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals 
  • Coordinate grant reporting (interim and final) with internal teams 
  • Maintain a detailed grants calendar and track deadlines 
  • Collaborate with Finance, program staff, and leadership to gather data and program insights 
  • Support general administrative tasks related to fundraising efforts 

What We’re Looking For 

  • At least 3 years of grant writing experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting 
  • Proven success securing grant funding (typically $2,500–$100,000+)  
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tell a clear, mission-driven story 
  • Experience with grant research and responding to structured proposals 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects at once 
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems 

Additional Details 

  • This is a temporary, part-time position created to support a current operational need within the Development team. 
  • The anticipated duration is through June 2026, with the potential to end earlier or extend based on organizational needs.
