In 2023 over 100,000 children were reported as abused or neglected in North Carolina. These numbers are staggering and really tug at my heartstrings. These children often leave home with nothing but the clothes on their backs. In 2022 I partnered with The Dove House Child Advocacy Center to provide backpacks to those children in their time of need.
Since 2022, Bella’s Backpacks, a 501 (c) 3 Nonprofit, has donated 1980 backpacks to children who seek help at The Dove House, Safelight, and other CAC’s across North Carolina. The mission of Bella’s Backpacks is to bring hope to these children and spread awareness of child abuse and neglect, to eradicate it someday.
