Founded in 2007, Caterpillar Ministries is a place-based nonprofit rooted in the Huntington Green mobile home community in Huntersville, North Carolina. For nearly two decades, we have walked alongside families of all backgrounds — largely Hispanic and Latino — through a holistic model of care focused on three core pillars: Academic Enrichment, Family Stability, and Faith Development.
Serving a neighborhood of more than 2,000 residents, Caterpillar Ministries provides year-round support, including tutoring and literacy programs, ESL classes, mentoring, food and crisis assistance, family advocacy, health and wellness partnerships, and community-building programs for children, youth, and adults.
Our approach is deeply relational and community-centered. Because we are embedded in the neighborhood we serve, we have built long-term trust, respond quickly to crises, and create opportunities that strengthen families while honoring the dignity, strengths, and resilience already present in the community. We believe lasting transformation happens through consistent presence, partnership, and hope.
