The North Carolina Academy of Physician Associates is seeking a dynamic, organized, and creative Program Coordinator to support the organization’s education programs, advocacy initiatives, member engagement efforts, regional chapters, and communications strategies.

Position Summary
The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting a broad range of organizational programs and activities, including marketing and communications, conferences and CME programming, advocacy initiatives, regional chapter support, and facility rentals. This role works collaboratively with staff, volunteers, vendors, and members to ensure high-quality programs and communications that support NCAPA’s mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote NCAPA programs, services, advocacy initiatives, and the PA profession
- Create and distribute communications across email, web, print, and social media platforms
- Manage website content and updates to ensure timely, engaging, and accurate information
- Coordinate digital marketing campaigns, including membership recruitment, conferences, online CME, advocacy efforts, and PA Week
- Develop marketing materials and maintain consistent organizational branding
- Develop and maintain an annual editorial and communications calendar
- Manage NCAPA’s social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, and YouTube
Conference & CME Support
- Assist with event and conference management using the CVENT platform
- Support development and maintenance of event webpages and registration systems
- Coordinate exhibitor and sponsor logistics, communications, and portals
- Assist with speaker agendas, event materials, and attendee engagement activities
Regional Chapter Support
- Serve as staff liaison to NCAPA regional chapters
- Coordinate annual re-chartering and chapter grant processes
- Provide administrative guidance and support to chapter leaders
- Assist in developing resources and tools for chapter success
Facility Rentals & Administrative Support
- Coordinate facility rental inquiries, agreements, invoicing, and scheduling
- Provide on-site support for renters and events
- Assist with PA Day at the Legislature registration and scheduling
- Support additional organizational projects and Academy events as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least one year of relevant professional experience in nonprofit administration, communications, program coordination, marketing, or public relations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following is strongly preferred: WordPress, Cvent Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, Email marketing platforms, association management systems, social media management tools
Additional Information
- Some statewide travel, occasional evening/weekend work, and attendance at conferences or advocacy events are required
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move conference room furniture or event materials
- Hybrid work flexibility may be available based on organizational needs
