The Development Officer, Corporate Giving plays a pivotal role in advancing the Food Bank’s mission to Nourish people. Build solutions. Connect communities. by managing a portfolio of corporate, religious, and civic donors giving $10,000+ annually. This position focuses on building and deepening relationships with the corporate community, with an emphasis on strategic cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

As part of a high-performing team committed to fundraising excellence, this role directly contributes to revenue growth and long-term donor pipeline development.
Job Responsibilities
(80%) Fundraising and Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 100-125 corporate donors and prospect with the capacity to give more than $10,000 annually.
- Develop and execute tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to grow relationships and increase giving.
- Conduct personal donor visits, prepare customized proposals and communications, and track outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, program staff, and volunteers to deepen donor engagement.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Engagement team to manage a two-way prospecting pipeline for corporate volunteers to become active donors and vice versa, soliciting corporate groups to engage with the Food Bank in multiple ways (funding, volunteering, employee giving, matching gifts, etc.).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date moves management information in donor database for a portfolio of corporate donors, including funding cycles, relevant deadlines, funding priorities, and all cultivation and stewardship actions.
- Assist with budget projections and revenue tracking throughout the year based on portfolio.
(20%) Events and Campaign Fundraising Support
- Support cause marketing partners to promote awareness of campaigns internally and externally, ensuring partners see the impact of their dollars on our work and our neighbors.
- Coordinate with Annual Fund team, communications department, and other food banks as needed to support internal and third-party fundraising campaigns (e.g. virtual food drives, Legal Feeding Frenzy, match campaigns, etc.).
- Participate in development department events as needed (e.g. exclusive group volunteer projects, donor appreciation events, etc.).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fundraising, relationship management, or community engagement; major gift experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio and secure gifts of $10,000+
- Experience working with high-level volunteers or advisory groups a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
- Experience with CRM systems; Raiser’s Edge NXT and/or Bonterra EveryAction preferred
- Ability to travel regionally and work some evenings and weekends

Work Environment
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee will work in a combination of in-office and remote settings. Frequently, the employee will be required to drive an automobile. The employee will be required to interact with Food Bank personnel in the warehouse(s). In doing so, the employee will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
