About Hope Clinic Hope Clinic’s mission is to provide access to free, equitable and quality health care in Pamlico County and surrounding communities for adults with low income who are uninsured or underinsured.
The Role The Executive Director is responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial stewardship, and community engagement. This role supervises the Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Quality Manager, works closely with the Board of Directors, and represents the clinic publicly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning, program development, and organizational growth
- Oversee daily operations, clinical support functions, and administrative systems
- Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and grant compliance
- Strengthen partnerships with local agencies, funders, and community stakeholders
- Supervise and support staff; foster a collaborative, mission‑driven culture
- Ensure adherence to governance and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or public health settings
- Strong financial management and organizational development skills
- Experience working with boards, community partners, and diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of rural health or safety‑net services preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field beneficial
