The Role
Senior Services is seeking an experienced, relationship-focused leader to oversee the daily operations of the award-winning Elizabeth and Tab Williams Adult Day Center. This role provides leadership for participant care and programming, staff and volunteer engagement, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and community partnerships, including those within the first-of-its kind Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness.
The Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Williams Center team to maintain a welcoming, high-quality environment where older adults living with varying degree of frailty and/or memory loss can remain active, engaged, and supported while caregivers receive valuable respite and peace of mind.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the daily operations, programs, services, and administrative functions of the Williams Adult Day Center
- Lead, supervise, support, and evaluate staff while promoting strong communication and teamwork
- Ensure participant admissions, assessments, care planning, programming, and family communication are completed effectively
- Maintain compliance with North Carolina Adult Day Care and Day Health standards and other certification requirements
- Monitor enrollment, funding sources, program goals, revenues, expenses, and required reporting
- Develop policies, procedures, forms, and processes that support effective center operations
- Build and maintain partnerships with Generations Center organizations, community groups, volunteers, and service providers
- Represent and promote the Williams Center through tours, community events, speaking opportunities, and outreach activities
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of two years of formal post-secondary education from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/equivalent with at least five years of experience and training in services to older adults or adults with disabilities
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree or RN certification preferred
- Experience leading staff and working within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with older adults, individuals living with memory loss, or in an adult day setting strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage budgets, program goals, compliance requirements, and multiple priorities
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
