2024 is a big election year. With the general election in November approaching quickly, it's important for nonprofit organizations to understand what they can and cannot do in an election year.
Join the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits for the webinar (Almost) Everything Your Nonprofit Needs to Know About the 2024 Election on September 20 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. We'll discuss ways nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers can (legally) engage in campaigns and answer common questions about tricky election-year situations for nonprofits.
You'll learn about new election laws and changes to the election process in North Carolina in 2024 that might affect nonprofits and the people they serve. With a state constitutional amendment and (in some places) local initiatives on the ballot, you’ll hear the basics about how charitable nonprofits can engage on ballot measures. And we'll offer tips on ways 501(c)(3) nonprofits can protect their reputations and avoid legal trouble when partnering with other organizations in an election year.
