Balancing Act: FMLA, ADA & Workers’ Compensation — What Nonprofit Leaders Need to Know

Nonprofit organizations rely heavily on mission driven staff, yet even the most dedicated teams face personal, medical, or workplace related challenges that require time away from work. This session provides nonprofit employers with clear, practical guidance on navigating the complex intersection of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Workers’ Compensation (WC) three laws that frequently overlap and often create confusion for overstretched HR teams. Learn when the various laws apply, the difference between job protection and salary replacement programs, and how to strengthen and keep consistency.
