Nonprofit Legal Compliance Workshop

Charitable nonprofits are required to comply with a wide array of federal and state laws and regulations. During this 2-part, virtual workshop, nonprofit staff and board members, attorneys, CPAs, and consultants will get a better understanding of the many significant federal and state laws and regulations with which charitable nonprofits must comply.

Part I – April 17
• Nonprofit board governance and fiduciary duties
• Charitable solicitation laws
• Laws related to fundraising
• Employment laws

Part II – April 24
• Federal tax laws for 501(c)(3) nonprofits
• State and local tax laws
• Laws and regulations related to government grants and contracts

Attorneys can earn 3 hours of CLE credit from the NC State Bar (pending approval). Participants must attend live for full credit.
