L - Housing & Shelter

  • Open Table Ministry seeks out and guides people experiencing homelessness and poverty toward long-term health and wholeness by building ongoing trusting relationships, meeting practical and personal needs, making connections to community resources, and bridging critical gaps in the social services system.

  • To be a neutral third party that builds a collaborative approach through partnering with community organizations to offer comprehensive resources to assist homeless families off the street and back into homes.

  • To offer a comforting home away from home and a community of support for seriously ill children and their families.

  • To provide assistance to families and their children who are victims of domestic violence with transitional housing and emergency shelter for families in a housing crisis while providing them with case management, financial literacy and links to community resources to help them regain their independence.

  • To strengthen our community with permanently affordable housing opportunities.

  • Serving low-income homeowners in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, and Pender Counties, many of whom are elderly, disabled, and/or veterans. WARM helps people age in place safely by preventing home accidents and illnesses - preserving their dignity and independence.

  • To strengthen neighborhoods with expanded homeownership opportunities; to provide quality rental housing for families and seniors with limited incomes and to enhance the economic well-being of residents of DHIC communities and low-wealth neighborhoods.

  • Providing food, shelter and hope through Christian love.
