The Center is hosting a free webinar to provide an update on recent state policy developments in the past few months affecting charitable nonprofits. The NC General Assembly's crossover deadline - the date when most bills need to pass either the House or Senate to be considered during the 2025-26 session - is Thursday, May 8, and we will share details about the status of several key bills affecting charitable nonprofits. We will also provide information about the state budget, including details of the version that the Senate passed in April and prospects for funding for nonprofits in the House budget. And we will try to answer questions that participants have about recent and forthcoming state policy issues affecting nonprofits.
