  • Researching grant opportunities and writing grant applications.
  • Organizing grant documentation and preparing materials needed for grant reporting.
  • Maintaining program documentation, procedures, and processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and the member experience.
  • Representing IPP professionally with members, community organizations, donors, and other partners.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience working in a nonprofit or other mission-driven organization.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take initiative.
  • Comfort using online databases, member portals, and other software systems.

Preferred:

  • Nonprofit grant-writing and grant-reporting experience.
  • Experience with membership databases, CRM systems, or online portals.
  • Experience coordinating programs, events, volunteers, or community partnerships.
  • Experience developing or improving organizational processes.
  • Familiarity with therapy dogs or animal-assisted programs.

Schedule

This is a part-time independent contractor (1099) position, anticipated to require approximately 8–10 hours per week.

This is a flexible hybrid position, with approximately 80% of the work performed remotely and 20% involving in-person activities in the Charlotte area.

Most administrative work can be completed remotely.  Some evening and weekend work will be required periodically, primarily for therapy dog evaluations and new member orientations (approximately every other month), occasional Board meetings, and other activities as needed.
