Chief Cares seeks a strategic, grounded, and mission‑driven leader to serve as its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In partnership with the Board, founders, and community stakeholders, the CEO will set direction for the organization’s next phase and build the operating capacity to deliver it, translating vision into clear priorities, scalable programs, strong fundraising and financial stewardship, and ensuring effective day‑to‑day execution that drives sustainable growth and measurable impact.

Council Description
With more than nine decades of progressive activism, the North Carolina Council of Churches remains the leading faith voice for justice advocacy in North Carolina. We are particularly concerned about issues related to racial equity, care of creation, health care, immigration, voting rights and helping congregations become healthier places, physically, mentally, and spiritually. The Council embraces ethnic, racial, gender, and sexual diversity. The Council has 10 fulltime employees and an annual budget of approximately $1 million.

For more than 30 years, Right Moves For Youth has supported students in grades 6–12 across Charlotte, helping them make the most of their education, relationships, and opportunities. Our programs, delivered in partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and community stakeholders, have made a lasting difference in the lives of young people throughout our city.

The Executive Director of The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center is responsible for fostering a culture of compassion, growth, and excellence; cultivating staff and Mountain members to lead and grow, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and meeting strategic, financial, and operational objectives. This position is responsible for managing staff teams, including Guest Services, Facilities, Finance, Advancement/Development, Many Hands Peace Farm, Youth and Adult Programs, Sales and Marketing, Information Technology, Kitchen, and Housekeeping.

About Larry King’s Clubhouse

Larry King’s Clubhouse (the “Center”) provides high‑quality, drop‑in childcare for children ages six weeks to 12 years whose families are conducting business at the courthouse. The Center ensures children have a safe, developmentally appropriate, and nurturing environment during what can often be stressful moments for their families. The Executive Director plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the success, sustainability, and strategic direction of this essential community program.
