The Pisgah Health Foundation receives and administers charitable contributions with a mission to purposefully, creatively, and collaboratively enhance the health and well-being of our communities by addressing local health and wellness inequities through strategic and meaningful partnerships. The organization awards moderate level grants to pertinent non-profit organizations designed to improve the social determinants of health in western North Carolina. Cape Fear HealthNet facilitates a coordinated system of health care for residents who have low income and are uninsured in a four-county region of North Carolina. The organization coordinates thousands of medical and mental health therapy appointments, as well as prescriptions and referrals for dental and lab/diagnostic appointments for its patients.
